We are pleased to announce the launch of the "Instant Disc Audio Cp1 DEATH STRANDING 2 Model" wireless CD player, an official collaboration with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, led by game creator Hideo Kojima. It will be available starting August 1, 2026 (Saturday).
It will also be exhibited and sold at the 'KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS × PARCO GAMES STRAND STORE' currently being held at Shibuya PARCO.
Background of the Collaboration Model
This collaboration was born from km5's resonance with Kojima's approach of creating new game experiences through the symbolic use of music, a pursuit that aligns with km5's dedication to the unique musical experience offered by CDs. This special partnership, allowing for an even richer CD experience, is made possible by Kojima's self-proclaimed love for analog media.
Features of Instant Disc Audio Cp1 ＜BB＞
This collaboration model is designed with the "BB Pod," a symbolic element in the DEATH STRANDING series, as its motif. It features a special color scheme unique to this model and caution marks added as accents throughout, fully expressing the world of DEATH STRANDING 2.
The exterior packaging has also been specially designed for this collaboration. It has been transformed into a limited edition specification, boldly incorporating the "BB Pod" and the mechanical motifs of the series into km5's existing simple design. Furthermore, it comes with a limited design postcard featuring characteristic scenes and motifs from "DEATH STRANDING 2."
